I think there is a new burgeoning tsunami of a "silent majority" occurring. The media always attempts to commandeer the brush fires that appear all across the physical and political landscape, before they can gain a self-definition and identity. They always attempt to corral and pigeonhole it with divisive labels with the intent of marginalization and containment.

In 2010 they were in high gear over the Tea Party rising. Remember that gal accosting Lieberman about becoming Russia? Man, I loved that. But, by subtle insinuation of covering it as news they were also commandeering the sentiment into the familiar process. It became an issue of how can the GOP absorb and contain this new Tea Party.

That has not been forgotten and now six years later with the complete failure of the GOP to do what it promised, this underlying seething is more than palpable. Now, "they" are struggling with how to gain control of Trump.

But, the thing of it is, everybody is being squeezed. From every angle. The artificial definitions of divisions are breaking down. And they will NOT step up to define the new commonalities. That would be disastrous to the status quo of controlled fluff and mayhem. They will only go so far as to quasi-cover it with the old intention of commandeering it.

By "they" I mean those that carefully control the flow of information to the public. The media is only part of this established apparatus.

Sigh.
