    I know that you don't stay up late enough to get all of the PSA's on cable (they have to run them for free, so they wait until the buying audience goes nite-nite), but:

  Everybody ready? Can we say "police state"?
  I have never understood how we can grant immunity to the police for things like this. The taxpayer always gets the shaft because the municipality's may be sued but the police are more often than not given suspension with pay, while anyone else committing such would go to jail!
