We dont want revenge, we want the lying, cronyism, and the manipulation of the masses by the elite people in power to STOP. Plain and simple.
Its the establishment that is trying anything it can to keep the anti-establishment candidates from getting elected, and that applies to Trump AND Sanders.
Hillary IS the poster child for the dishonest politicians who manipulate us into thinking that "she is fighting for us". Thats totally a lie. She fights for HERSELF and her cronies only.
YES it would. All I hear is emotional manipulation in the media, most notably from Hildebeast and designed to cover over and deflect her problems. This election year is ridiculous really. All we want is a president to uphold the constitution and stop the cronyism and run the government efficiently. I am not holding my breath for any of those things. Trump is better than Hildebeast by far, however.
It is contrary to observable reality to conclude that Trump will stop "the lying, cronyism, and the manipulation of the masses by the elite people in power".
Trump would have slowed it down a bit. Hildebeast will run us headlong into cronyism masquerading as socialism. Too bad, but with all the negativity towards trump, it looks like the evil witch Hillary will prevail
One could argue that we have been on a downhill slide for many many years and Hillary is just one more in a long list of terrible politicians, both democratic and republican
I must not want revenge. Unimpressed by Johnson, I feel stuck with The Donald only in a hope to make the Wicked Witch of the East fly away on her socialist sweeping device. I consider Princess Pelosi to be the Wicked Witch of the West by the way. You know, the same socialist sorceress who raised the Evil Dead by casting the zombie spell that weaved, "By the dark powers of the dank skank dumbo goddess, my mirror on the wall, let us pass this bill to see what's in it. Alakazam!" Captain Kangaroo's old "please and thank you" incantation was somewhere in there but I forget where it goes. Cracking jokes is better than crying over broken dreams.
Its time for defensive moves before 10-289 forbids them in the interest of keeping the politicians in power in an economy crashing under the weight of socialist programs. After the $15 minimum wage will come the restriction on laying non-performing workers off. Laws already require large companies to announce months in advance the laying off of workers (causing those workers to NOT work very much between the announcement and the actual laying off). 10-289 will just get rid of the ability of a business to lay off workers or raise prices on their products. Check out Venezuela to see whats in store for us
it is a desperate move by angry americans as a vote against existing politics and politicians...i do not think Trump is the answer...time will tell...meanwhile we continue the slide into economic oligarchy and fascism...
I wouldn't disagree, but revenge is ultimately a stupid motive for doing anything. If one allows their decision-making to be a product of rage and revenge, they see only the end of destruction - not production.
More like the uprising of the silent majority whose savings have been stolen, property devalued, burdened with ever increasing taxes, frustrated at the lack of ability to do anything about it, and resentful of the abandonment of reason in the face of being obligated to live for the sake of others. Now is the chance...
The moment you mention the name Trump, liberals go completely bipolar. From their perspective he is going to start world war 3, isolate america from the rest of the world, and screw up the economy.
Ironically this is EXACTLY what the democrats are doing. Intentionally or not.
Of course the push for Trump is perceived as anger and revenge. Wish I could swear here to express my state of mind.
Must say I had a fairly good conversion rate of Hillary to Trump via Skype. About 7 out of 10. People are lazy to think. They tend to attach themselves to group perception.
yes! . groupthink is rampant during political discussions and campaigns -- peer pressure and the herd instinct and all of that crap. . you're dead right, sir! -- j .
No. Because Trump is his own connection. He is a law unto himself, and a force of nature. His opponents are the connectors and the connected. The network girds for battle against the maverick--almost the barbarian, because he speaks a language none of them can begin to understand.
It is the exasperation of people with the status quo and complete lack of charisma by Cruz. Some large number of Bernie supported go the Trump (by poll) when Hillary wins.
It is all non-establishment, and we libertarians are flat footed.
Let's suppose all the people responsible for this disaster (principle party leaders, movers, and shakers) from both the left and right wings of the government party were held accountable. Add to that government land including drilling, logging, mining, water and so forth rights. I don't see it totaling more than 10% of the debt.
Therefore
How many would, at this point in time, think a loss at 10% on the dollar would be worth it compared to the alternatives?
How many the voters should share in the mess they helped cause?
Absolutely. It's a matter of "See what you've done, you rascals you." The responsible members of our society (still the majority - for a while) are damned angry of getting screwed over by politicians. Even the true believers are coming out of their comas to recognize that politicians represent only themselves and not the people who elected them, and they are monumentally pissed off. I'm considering putting up a sign that reads: VOTE FOR BELLA BEAGLE! ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS FEED HER.
Stupid is the key word for voters. We have put up with the cronyism for so long that we are getting what we deserve for candidates, 2 losers, well 3 if you include Johnson. A bombastic reality star and businessman, a verified, chronic liar and national security scofflaw, and then a total flake who is fiscally conservative but socially liberal and has trouble figuring out to pay for one without screwing up the other. I know he was not a total screw up in New Mexico but he opened the door to be replaced by the criminal Richardson. New Mexico seems to swing one way or the other to extremes, flaky Republican, criminal Democrat, flaky Republican for Governor but is solidly Democrat in State Government, both Senators and 2 of the 3 Representatives. Anyway, we deserve what we get and just note that The Donald has received more popular votes than anyone, so me thinks there is some angst there.
I would say you are disgusted with the whole political system now. I agree with you. The reason I am voting for Trump is exactly BECAUSE the crony establishment hates him so much. He must be a threat to them, and thats a good thing. Its time all this comes to light and the voters get a chance to SEE whats going on.
Trump is not perfect, but he is the best of the electable bunch. I do hope he makes it and NOT Hillary.
We are totally messed up if Hildabeast wins, you can kiss the US Constitution goodbye. I am not being incredulous, she has proven it with statements going back to when she was First Lady. Like all socialist progressives, yes, she is one, she totally thinks that we do not deserve to have freedom or rights. She believes in The World Order, Agenda 21 or whatever you want to call it, one World, with no borders and common laws between all of them and being subservient to the United Nations. I am not wearing a tin foil hat, I am being realistic that we are in deep do-do if she wins.
I agree totally. I am going into totally defensive mode to protect what I have from her. We can start with the $15 minimum wage. I am madly trying to make some of our minimum wage workers worth $15/hour, and getting rid of the rest of them before she puts in 10-289 to forbid laying off workers (thats next when they start seeing the layoffs of workers NOT worth the $15). She will try to stretch the economic rubber band some more to keep the establishment perks in play, but that will fail disastrously at some point, followed by another bailout (thats why goldman pays her $200k for a speech she wont even let us in on).
In the meantime, I am voting for Trump to at least slow things down a bit and tell us when the emperor has no clothes. He isnt John Galt, but a John Galt would never get out of the starting gate in this culture at this time.
Agreed. I sincerely hope you succeed in your endeavor on the worker issue. I see some sort of 10-289 coming, it already started with O and his executive order to being able to take over the financial and other industries for the national good in a crisis.
I think its instructive to observe in detail whats happening in Venezuela. That is the blueprint for a declining statist country. Maduro takes over cusinesses, tells them what to charge, arrests them for self protecting actions, and outright steals from them through currency manipulations. Its already in place with Obama's EO, and its just there to be sprung upon us when they need to protect their power.
Especially since the fellow travelers of the left have gone full tilt to make sure all the other avenues are closed off. Just once I'd like to see an honest, open, election but I doubt it' swithin the capability of the population. Just once a decent honorable candidate but then decent people don't dirty themselves with politics. Let 'us' that the toad talking again in on a speech in advance. She may be the dirtiest politician in existence but unliike the two DNComitteemembers she's not entirely stoooooooooopid.
I look at him as being what we deserve for being so outrageously stupid. He could be hiding any belief by just saying clichés that pander to the most ignorant common denominator while not revealing anything about his intentions if he is elected. I plan on voting for him because I would rather select what is behind the closed door than live with more of the same. It is kind of "the lady or the tiger" but with a different twist.
When you consider that we've elected a massive number of "tea party" representatives, who were supposed to stop Obama, and who did NOTHING for years, the only options left are to stay home and sulk, or go with someone who MIGHT do something that we want, at least a little bit. It's take the "progressives" over a century to get us to this point. It will probably take at least two centuries to restore the republic, because they'll be fighting tooth and nail every step of the way. Plan on four centuries. We're seeing the effects of compromise with evil that AR talked about. It's ugly.
A wise saying. But it is hard to hold in the frustrations of the last 20 years or so. The lust for revenge is a powerful emotion and not easily held down. Trump has tapped into the "we'll show those bastards" attitude, and to the surprise of the do-nothing politicians, the more they denigrate it, the stronger it gets.
Thanks. You're smarter than my dusty old journalism degree diploma. At least I once upon a time way long ago a reporter can recall being asked to spell "personnel" for the same newspaper editor who's job was to check my work. I've heard the two graves saying moire than once on TV. It's usually spoken by an Oriental dude. Oops, I now recall reading somewhere that writing or saying "Oriental" is no longer PC. To that I shout ORIENTAL! And they can take that on the Oriental Express.
As a spinoff from Watergate, too many people had that degree in comparison to available jobs back in the Seventies. Cripes! I'm suddenly staring at the typos in my last reply. Graves are speaking and we're nowhere near Halloween. And there's "moire." I was in a hurry to go out the door when I gummed that up.
Honest, I really didn't notice the typos. My son graduated with a Liberal Arts degree. For his graduation present, I had a t-shirt made for him that said, "Liberal Arts Grad. You want fries with that?"
"Many seeing no other hope being offered no other future have picked him to be the deystroyer. Won't they be surprised if he remakes the situation into one of His own devising and liking"

"the who?"
"them the one's who lost power?"
":oh them I had quite forgot. Why? Are they important again for some reason?"
"Not really but after all they are...yes....I see your point I'll not forget you asked."
"Those that do are doomed to repeat..."
"Second grade at least..."
":Besides we have a new opponent much more worthy of our skills."

Read what you just wrote.
It fairly drips with revenge desire.
What I want is for the cronyism and use of government to take from me and give to others to STOP.
That means at a minimum that Hillary and her crony statist contributors must NOT be in power.
You overcome your emotion with rational thinking.
It would be nice if that could happen nation-wide.

Funny, a grammatically correct "an used car dealer" doesn't look or sound right somehow.
BTW, I think that it was a Chinese philosopher who said something like, "When you plot revenge first dig two graves."
