Oh, I didn't notice that it had been discussed already.

Still, it's getting extremely annoying that I literally cannot post anything without it being down-voted. Almost every post I make is getting down-voted, regardless of its content. It's gotten to the point where I can't even interact with the forum anymore without losing points. Down-voting a post simply because you dislike the person who made the post is even worse than down-voting a post because you disagree with what that post says (and I mean "you" in the general sense, not you specifically, khalling).

Maphesdus has alienated a lot of people who reject his ideas. His accusation that anyone or any single person is "down-voting" his posts "regardless of its content" is preposterous and only one in a pattern of misrepresentations. Who cares how many "points" he has from his flood of posts or how "annoyed" he is. He is not entitled to acceptance of his views or "points" and if concerned about it should concentrate on the quality, relevance and content of his own posts instead of blaming others. Maphesdus' posts often indicate that feeling persecuted is part of his identity. Good posts by others are sometimes oddly "voted down", too -- does Maphesdus have something to do with that?

"Galt's Gulch is a community of like-minded individuals who come together regularly to share interesting content and ideas with each other and debate about politics, economics, philosophy and more. If you've read and have been influenced by Atlas Shrugged, this is the site you've been waiting for." It is not a repository for leftist or otherwise sophomoric inflammatory pronouncements persistently misrepresenting Ayn Rand and others on this forum while expecting or insisting to be taken seriously in the name of "debate"; promoting collectivism; obsessing over economic egalitarianism, race baiting, drugs and sexual abnormality; or eclectic repetitive attention-seeking through mediocre and repetitive items not advancing discussion.

I downvote comments which are ad hominem. It doesn 't happen often. Occassionally if someone is being belligerent and posting untrue statements - which I give a fair chance at correction. When did it start happening with more regularity? Had you engaged in ad hominem right before? People don 't like getting called things they don 't think fits. You 're the first to point that out....
