While it's perfectly legal to impose such requirements on new tenants coming in, it is not legal to impose them on existing tenants if that wasn't part of their contract.

San Francisco loves the idea of being a tech hub. They hate the idea of building to accommodate for the people. Seattle is suffering the same problem, just a bit less. Still you are pretty sol if you think you will get permits to build more office space in Redmond. I get a lot of calls from recruiters that want me to move to the bay area. I have been making it pretty clear that 200 a year is my minimum price there. Which thankfully prevents them from bothering me further.. but, recently I have been getting more of them that want people to work remote. In the meantime I am working all my spare time on my startup. Once I am up and running we will be looking to move back to Milwaukee mostly because the cost per square foot is lower, a lot lower...

Cedarburg and Grafton are a great are. My dad lives in Cedarburg. The third ward has the advantage of reasonably affordable office space. Ok, that statement alone should make it obvious how long I have been on the west coast.. 😃. I also want to be if fairly close proximity to MSOE and UWM. They have computer engineering programs that turn out some pretty skilled programmers. For living I am looking at the east side, like on Newberry.. again after living out here the houses there look really cheap. That puts me back in place to do my groceries shopping at the metro.mart, and walking distance from the good liquor store on Downer. I gotta agree though Milwaukee does not like new business.. unless its some lame retail.. but I think there is an opportunity for an improvement if Clark runs for mayor.

I plan to be there for it. That way it doesn't look weird when I am donating, bundling, and doing whatever else I can to see to it that Milwaukee has a Mayor who is not full of crap. The aldermen also need to be upgraded... But, the mayor would be a valuable win. I am also pretty sure that he is on the ball enough to recognize the Milwaukee needs to do more than build shopping malls to improve its situation. I am also pretty sure that he will be the mayor that is able to look east and see exactly what it is that Milwaukee has the Atlanta, Austin and SanFrancisco will never have. Its kind of amazing how much I took for granted that water should be amazingly cheap when I was living in Milwaukee. even in Seattle water is really amazingly not cheap..

Well, the fact that they often dump untreated sewage into Lake Michigan would put a bit if a damper on that. But, yeah, there is a tremendous resource in the lake that isn't utilized nearly enough.

The unprocessed sewage is storm drain run off the two waste systems are separate. Milwaukee and Chicago both have deep tunnels where the storm water was supposed to wait for processing. The problem being that they didn't build them large enough. Even Chicago has dumped sewage. It tends to be worse down there because the who systems are not as independent. So, in neighborhoods like roscoe village there won't be flooding per-say, but sewage will be geysering out of the drains. Midway had to renovate the sports building pretty much every other year. The contractor got so good at replacing the carpeting and the bottom two feet of the drywall that they could get the whole building done in like a week..

The funny part is this is a sf rent is sucky thread, that's pretty much about the merits of moving to the upper Midwest...

                My bad..
