California wants to own copyrights on everything!
The warning is coming from officials with the Electronic Frontier Foundation.
The EFF said the bill would “clarify” that works created by public entities are eligible for intellectual property restrictions.
Well then...seeing "We" the public own these public entities then "We the public...are due the royalties of said copyrights.
NOT TO MENTION, it will be YOUR/OUR money (tax dollars) that PAY for said copyrights etc.
They also forget, one could paraphrase and even use a few paragraphs without violating any copyright law...so long as we reference the source.
What do you "Rand like" Lawyers say?
