Socialism Is An Immoral System

Terrific article that plainly explains the basics of socialism and other 'isms. For anyone who like Bernie, you only have to do some light research on the current state of affairs in Venezuala. (got spelling?) That is where we are heading, IMO.

    It starts with not taking personal responsibility for behavior and actions. Excuses ,no fault not my son or daughter someone must have caused him/her to.....25 yrs ago when my kids were in school at conferences we would hear from teachers how parents would pushback at teachers who would call home about disruptive actions of students. This theme has eroded the morals of our nation. The Millenials are the grads of this era.
    This is one lesson they mastered.

      I concur with your views. However, to the self-proclaimed elite, not taking personal responsibility makes total sense: all the power, authority & glory is theirs at the top, yet all the responsibility and accountability for those actions are pushed as far to the bottom (uh, the "little guy", "the people") as possible, IMO.

    Many years ago I drove to Las Vegas to attend Networld Interop with an employee of mine who was born and raised in Bulgaria. From Phoenix, its about a 5 hour drive. We talked about political ideologies and, despite being in the USA under my employ, he was very pro- socialist and tried to explain to me how wonderful it was. By the time we reached Vegas he'd come to the conclusion that Socialism wasn't designed for man's nature, that socialism was morally corrupt in that it violated the individuals right to self-determination, and that socialism would only work if mankind could get a reboot and was not human.

    Back then, 1999-2000(?), while being conservative ideologically, I was fairly neutral politically. He, having lived in Bulgaria most of his life, hated muslims. He said they were nuts and would do literally anything to get to their heaven. I discounted that sentiment and actually thought harshly toward him for being so vehement; go figure.

    Socialism is evil. If people want to be in tribes where they willingly give their lives to the collective- LET THEM DO SO AMONG THEMSELVES. Leave me out of it.

    We all know the negatives about socialism. To me, how do we impress those Millennials about the tar baby they'd like to grab? Because of our degraded educational system, they don't understand the difference between socialism, capitalism, and Taoism.

      In my opinion, we are well past the point to turn things around. At this point, we are all in for the ride nobody here ever endorsed.

        Navy Medics are the on site support for all marine combat units.

        A tour of duty contract is satisfied by one day or 24 hours in that area. Germany and Italy for example were on the way to Vietnam

        Is the GI Bill which ever version you are on authorized for paying off student loans. ...I don't think so...but your military pay can be garnished.

        The left used lies the above all during the Vietnam war. Never mind the BS one good lie can be used countess times.

    This is why Any Rand said a moral revolution must proceed a political one. Politics is derived from morality. Socialists to save their moral system of Christian altruism will destroy their country and its people rather than admit their intellectual and moral failure. It used to be fun to debate the old socialists because they believed in science and progress but the young ones have no basis for their "social justice" socialism other than their drug infused moral feelings. On with the moral philosophical revolution of Objectivism.

      Definitely. The political problem now is either how to slow down the march to socialism or foster a collapse NOW and get it over with. Trump for the first approach, and Sanders for the latter.

      For me, I am taking the "slowing down the process" approach, cause the other approach will cause the ones of us living to go through a really bad time with intense government control and collapsing services.

        I agree with you. Trump should tell Hispanic voters vote for me or vote for Cuba, Venezuela, Ecuador, or Brazil with Hilary. For Black voters he should say vote for me or the gangs and needles or your block with Hilary. His style fits hard truth. He just doesn't know what to say because he is s pragmatist.

          This sounds terrible I guess, but I think that all governmental systems should be judged also by what WORKS IN PRACTICE. When a system isnt working, its time to question other things about it, like its philosophical base. I think that approach will perhaps help to get rid of socialism- since it absolutely hasnt worked anywhere

      I always thought of them as having no morals because they have no values nor ethics of course the word immoral even amoral should have popped into mind immediately.

      You cannot judge them as you would anybody in any of the moral value system the phrase doesn't apply. It's if I can word this correctly the secular version of Islam. except we are supposed 'to submit. Reason does not apply.'

    Trump? From what I've seen high probabilit of a wrong answer. Words are one thing his actions speak differently especially since he became presumptuous.

    three thoughts from those who lived it.

    1. How come even with the support of the miltiary who despised the draft the anti draft people got within inches of repealing and then turned tail and ran while their own party the democraps have steadfastly supported it's retention and are the only party to call for it reactivating its use.?

    2. How come the active professional combat armed military opposes the draft as steadfastly as the Democraps and their lapdog Rhinos support it.

    3. How come the so called womens movement was willing to accept second class citizen ship status under Clinton and since Clilnton ecve though there was no part of the Constitution barring them from being drafted.

    And number four don't the numbnuts turning 18 realize when they sign that form they are no longer eligible for the draft but have volun ha ha tarily agreed to perform military service when and where called? do they even realize it's massive coercion but a felony punishable by incarceration and fines not to 'volunteer' and how many have actively tried to get it overturned in stead of supporting it's government supporters?

    How stupid are the numbnuts?

    Now if you are new you might be shaking your fist at my words. I and others like me gave you that right in my case 24 years in the infantry.while you were busy rotating on your thumbs doing nuuuuutttthhhhhhhhiiiinggg. So to don't bitch or start this draft doesn't exist crap just show up for duty and by the way stay out of the way. . .

    And that's not the least immoral thing about socialism....

    what is new about this statement, nothing. what i like about the article is that it exists and more and more articles of this nature should appear in the overall public media. as for bernie he needs a 4x4 against his head to try to get him to understand that he is wrong.
