Dear Government

You were created to protect our Individual Rights. Instead you have taken them away from us.

You were created to protect us from our enemies. Instead you have become our enemy.

Today we ask that you give our country back. Tomorrow we will take it back.

Respectfully,

Vox Populi

A general strike looks good on the 11 o'clock news, but only harms the local merchants and businesses...hardly our targets.

An April 15 Tax Revolt is worthless, since most of us prepay our taxes and would only end up not getting our overpayment (refund) back.

Now...if we all changed our W-4 status to no withdrawal, and then refused to file our owed taxes on April 15, we would actually make the news!

Better yet, go to the polls for the midterm elections and really exercise the only true power that we have. Send the Progressives (read: Democrats) back to their hovels.

Looks like Tavis Bickel posturing in front of the mirror - "you talkin to ME? you talkin to ME?"

DK there has to be some things we can do besides accept subjugation or resort to revolution. If enough of us can rally around a peaceful General Strike, maybe they will pay attention.

You seem to think we already live under an absolute dictatorship!

In the 1970s, a group of Jews wanted out of the USSR and were refused exit visas. They were known as Refusniks, never numbered more than 10,000, never owned or fired a weapon and yet were instrumental in turning the world against marxism which helped lead to the collapse of the USSR. They were very peaceful. Some history...

A general strike against a Communist regime is not the same as one against a capitalist society. The former political system is vulnerable to this since they are the means of production (and distribution), as opposed to the latter.

The Cold War arms esculation pushed to it's extreme (read: Reagan) was the final straw for the USSR. And it was an economic attack that they could not absorb....

We no longer live in a capitalist society. What would suggest we do to to topple the marxist forces in control of the USA today if not a general strike?

I have said this many times. There is a rich tradition for this throughout history. Leave the country or remove your assets from the country.

Rich tradition??? What if Jefferson, Washington, Franklin, et alia left for Brazil or sent their assets to it? Would we still be the USA? Resignation is not the answer. The answer is to win the hearts and minds of the people. Now if I could only figure out how to.

fastest way to bring a govt down is to withdraw support. Jefferson, Washington, Franklin were proud english citizens who withdrew support.
there are many examples of semi-democratic countries, when realizing they were losing their bet and brightest, woke up the electorate and political class (Ireland most recently). It's even worked within the US between states.
have you read my posts? I seem resigned to you?

No I haven't read them all. How would
you suggest that we and the millions of
Americans who still believe in IR
withdraw our support for this government?
And stay here with our assets while we are doing so?

We still are a capitalist economy, albeit heavily threatened.

Like I suggested earlier...use your vote to make your protest when the midterms comes up.

If that fails, we can talk again.

The problem I have in waiting until Noverber 2014 is that we are running out of time to throw the Marxists out of Washington. Giving them our silent blessing for another 16 months allows them time to pass more collectivist legislation. The second is that I've run out of trust in what the candidates are saying on the stump. Even the Tea Party people are lying through their teeth (Senators Rubio, and Ayotte for example). We need to be more vocal.

I am all for "vocal"...the last amnesty effort was shot down by phone calls and emails to our congressmen.

As for not enough time until the midterms, just remember that the GOP controls the House and they have been doing a pretty good job of stopping the bleeding. Obama has to resort to executive orders to get what he wants, and these orders can be reversed if we get the Senate back.

                    Keep the faith!
