The truth shall keep us free - Edward Snowden has awakened a giant

Thomas Paine once reminded the Framers that the highest duty of a patriot is to protect his countrymen from their government. We need patriots to do that now more than ever.
I watched a 20 something year old get interviewed the other day about Eric Holder and Fast and Furious. His response was that he loved the movie, but didn't remember anyone named Holder being in it....
Most people develop their beliefs from movies, reality TV and what makes them feel all warm and fuzzy inside. The whole idea of research, truth and rational thought has escaped the masses.
I will not trade one tyranny for another. It is even more egregious when the tyranny comes from your own government.
The once sacred 4th Amendment used to have some real 'claws'. Get your hands on the movie "The Star Chamber" and watch the first 15 minutes: two cops chase a criminal, and watch him hide his gun in the trash can on the curb in front of his apartment. The cops see the garbage truck coming down the street, and dig through the trash to retrieve the weapon. They make the arrest and log the weapon in as evidence.
Fast forward: the perp is in front of the judge, and his lawyer argues that the only evidence the DA has was obtained in violation of the 4th Amendment (no search warrant). The judge rules that the trash can was the perp's property, and if the cops had waited for the can to be emptied into the garbage truck the gun would have been admissible. The judge releases the murderer....
An extreme interpretation of the 4th, but in keeping with that Right. Now we have gone completely 180, and there are no restrictions.
God help The Republic....
