Ed Snider, Executive Producer of Atlas Shrugged Part 1, died Monday, April 11, 2016.

A personal friend of Atlas Shrugged Producer John Aglialoro, Ed Snider was an entrepreneur and Objectivist who embodied the Randian hero. His presence in our community and the world as a whole will be greatly missed.

    There are other very successful men in this country but unfortunately even though many have read Ayn Rand they do not step forward as Mr. Snider did. That is a loss to the country and ultimately the world.

    Sad to see him go. We definitely need more people like him, successful business people who proclaim their values and put their resources into promoting them more.
    I had the great fortune of hosting Ed in my house as the special guest for an Objectivist discussion group near Philadelphia, in 2000 I think it was. He emphasized the importance of everyone acting with integrity and commitment to their values, no matter what position you are in. We can't all have the influence and impact he had, but we can do much more than we are doing now too, I bet.

    It's always terrible to read or hear about such a loss. To his friends and family, I send my personal sympathies. But to me and to other lovers of liberty and reason, sympathy is also due. R.I.P.
