As Bill Clinton said," to be a good citizen, you have to obey the law, ... and --- oh, yes, you have to serve."
But he also said:
"I've never broken the drug laws of my country, and that is the absolute truth."
and
"Everybody knows that I have tougher ethics rules than any previous president."
Depends on what the definition of "tough" is. And "ethics." And "rules." And "knows."
Could have been true compared to the ethics of the presidents AFTER Clinton (to date.)
I imagine cable TV news will have to come up with some tortured logic to make this look anti-liberty without admitting their real goal is get unsophisticated viewers fired up. It could be funny to watch.
