From a review:

Nostalgia for the New Left student rebellion? Enjoyed Robert Redford's "The Company You Keep"? Then maybe you won't like "The Way The Wind Blew: They Battled America's First Terrorists" by Walter Donway. Or maybe you are the kind who likes another perspective. This novel races forward, introduces a hero and heroine not cut from "the mold," but also portrays the Weather Underground, the Black Liberation Army, and the university professors and others who sanctioned and protected them as "idealists." Sure, it is pretty glorious to see the "soft, safe assassins of the classroom" called to account, at last; but the ultimate payoff of this novel is not ideology but suspense, surprise, exciting characterization, and a masterful and accomplished style for which Walter Donway is known. And what a romantic trip to Boston!
