For a long time now, men have been the whipping post for all of society’s evils. I remember thinking when Rosanne, Home Improvement and other sitcoms like that were on TV that it had come to the point where it was only politically correct to make men the brunt of all jokes. The shows were full of examples where the man was a dunce and the women were all virtuous and righteous… The white male adult was the ultimate punching bag. The perception was that he had all the advantages and could take the abuse… Who could he complain to without looking soft?
