I have used artists from fiverr to illustrate 8 different books now... You can get images for as low as $5-10 that are on a caliber with Disney animators (I know I used to work for Dreamworks!)

You have to spend your own time to vet your artists - but there are amazing ones out there in countries where the American dollar stretches much further
