Interesting on two points:

1) it delves a little deeper into the IRS leak intentionally meant to punish opponents of the Obama regime.

2) it reminds us of the stated proactive reprisal policy of Obama's (now resigned) EPA administrator Al Armendariaz.

This story has the possibility of being huge.

I can now see legitimate calls for dismantling the IRS.
Not that it will happen, but...

The fundamental problem is that we have made marriage a federal issue. DOMA was unconstitutional. Don't ask/Don't tell, for as much as I disrespect Clinton, was at least a rational approach.

Where in the constitution is marriage stated or even inferred? It is not. It should be extricated from all laws and regulations. All IRS rules regarding different treatment for individuals as they pertain to "married" or not should be expunged.

"The IRS — the federal government — deliberately leaked confidential information on the National Organization of Marriage’s donor file to one of its enemies, the Human Rights Campaign. That leak was illegal, but no one has been sanctioned for it."

Actually, I'm pretty sure that any organization which engages in political campaigns is legally required to disclose a list of their financial donors to the general public.

Also, the Chick-Fil-A incident which occurred a while back was because their CEO, Dan Cathy, was giving financial donations to groups which actively harmed the LGBT community. It wasn't simply a matter of speech as this article claims.

If you try really hard, perhaps you can squeeze in a few more folks to smear with half truths and lies.

Chick-fil-a was all about the owners free speech and freedom of religious expression. If anybody was persecuted in that case it was the owner. They never had any employee charge them with discrimination, they never refused to serve anyone. The people in your community just didn't like what he said and where he gave his money.

They were put under a microscope and the liberal press and your side found nothing. So you resort to calling names and try to destroy his business. You sir are a bigot only a reverse bigot, you discriminate against people who don't like your lifestyle. You lie about what they say and do and then you try to enslave them by forcing them to violate their religious convictions by providing services they are opposed to on religious or moral grounds.

Money is speech according SCOTUS. A person has the right to give money to whatever group they want. Suppose we get a list of the donor to your precious groups - what "special" things would we find there? But WE don't play the game that way. However after what the IRS has done to us, things just might change. You folks just may have overstepped yourselves.

Harmed them how? Hurt their feelings? Cathy harmed no one. He was asked a question and answered it honestly. I had never been to chick fil a prior to him exercising his free speech but I've been there several times since. Apparently I'm the only one either. They just beat kfc in chicken sales. Money does talk. Sorry you hate free speech so much.

LS -They never answer specifics, just throw the bomb and move on. Call people racist or homophobe and move on. They won't answer anybody who questions them with a logical and reasoned response because their "cause" or "claim" can't stand any close inspection.
