I have no doubt that Obama has played politics with this...Rick Perry wouldn't be caught dead playing Tetherball with Obama like Chris Christie would!

Something tells me that Texas will take care of their own...and be better for it.

While I agree that this is probably politically motivated, I do not approve of FEMA and most other government welfare programs in general.

  I do not either. I did note that they have insurance to cover the bulk. It's just a matter of waiting it out until claims get processed. And it was also difficult, at least here, to find news coverage. It was all hyper focused on Boston at the time this occurred.

    Yep. A place up this way donated trailers to people from Staten Island whose homes are still tangled up in red insurance tape. A lot have said they'd like to stay.
