The National Security Agency and the FBI are tapping directly into the central servers of nine leading U.S. Internet companies, extracting audio, video, photographs, e-mails, documents and connection logs that enable analysts to track a person’s movements and contacts over time.

      Actually the WaPo's story is, surprisingly, more in-depth than the Guardians. That is why I chose to post it after reading both articles and not knowing that you had already posted the one from the Guardian just a couple of minutes before.
