Those people will try to co-opt anything to their ideology. When I look at the same things these people do, I see freedom for the market and individual and a loss of control by technocrat bureaucracies. Many of the non-=profits they speak of are merely remnants of that technocracy just trying to hang on to that control, till they develop the new definitions to instill themselves into continued control in a free world.

Parasitic is the right word to describe them. Freedom is the new reality.

"...many economists argue that the nonprofit sector is not a self-sufficient economic force but rather a parasite, dependent on government entitlements and private philanthropy. Quite the contrary. A recent study revealed that approximately 50 percent of the aggregate revenue of the nonprofit sectors of 34 countries comes from fees, while government support accounts for 36 percent of the revenues and private philanthropy for 14 percent."

What recent study was this? Anytime anyone starts citing statistics, I like to know where that data is coming from.
