The media has their own agendas, and are not interested in the will of the people, and neither what is good for them. Only the special interests and sponsors that come from the top.
And that is the tough thing for most everyone to accept, that they must " think" about what they are seeing on the news, that they must look behind the news to understand what is happening and why.
The bottom line is revenue - how much can they generate. Information - is second to capturing and holding the viewer audience. The more viewers, the higher the ad revenue. It doesn't matter if it's 100% pure and factual or 100% dishonest and made up - as long as it grabs you and holds you, they win.
