This came up on another thread, and I thought I should post it generally. Obama, Cruiz and others born in the panama or Arizona when it was a teritory could all run for president.

Even if it had turned out that Obama had been born in Kenya he would still have been a natural born citizen.

The law has changed some over the years on the definition of "Natural Born Citizen" but the term is actually to address those born outside a country as still being full citizens if there (initially) father was a citizen. Later it became father and mother and then later just one parent either one.
