Mark Levin's Plans to Save Big Bird
Levin is the only one I have heard that is talking any sense about this "defunding" PBS issue. PBS should NOT receive any government funds. If the claims of it's greatness are true it will have no trouble making it in the free market.
Levin points out the fact that if PBS has its gov't funds cut off, there will be investors standing in line.

But Discovery Channel, The History Channel, The Learning Channel, the Sci Fi Channel, all do similar programming. They are the free market solutions to broadcasting. Anything with the word "public" in it needs to be removed from our economy. Public transportation, public housing, public television, all of it. Good intentions cannot account for the tyranny of reality.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|

- 1Posted by overmanwarrior 12 years, 2 months agoYes, I forgot about that, but you're right. I listened to NPR today, just to see what was going on in their world, and they really need to be concerned about commercial success. Without it, they come out sounding like something that belongs at the counter of your local B.M.V.Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink|
