Progression

Atlas Shrugged was my introduction to Ayn Rand and it was the story that kept me motivated to continue reading while often skimming the character dialogues as if they were redundant filler. I can't tell you how long it took me to slog through Galts speech...However I now find myself looking for the extended dialogues to harvest new nuggets. James Taggerts plea to Dagney about being her brother was the latest example. I was just wondering if others have a similar progression from novel reader to text book miner?
