John Galt is Poe's Everyman. You see him, catch glimpses of him, know that you know him or want to know him so you follow him. Never quite catching up but the yearning builds at every turn of his head showing another sense if some distant recognition always hoping that you will eventually catch up to him. You see it's the journey, not the end fro which one truly gains their glory and achieves their ultimate happiness. Thanks John for guiding us.

    how 'bout this change?

John Galt is the indomitable, creative, caring, persistent, longsuffering human spirit within each of us, called the Spirit of God by some and the Spirit of Man by others, which makes us worth our salt. He is the genderful and multicolored reason for our desire to live. He is the heart of ambition, the stuff of desire and the hearty competitor whom we admire yet long to beat. He is love for children and animals, for the earth and the cosmos. He wields compassion selectively and hatred sparingly. He is us, at our best.

John Galt is a man of the mind. He uses his mind to create what he believes is best for himself and in the process benefits others by creating something of value that they need or desire and they compensate him for his creations. He works for no man. He is responsible for himself and no other.

A great producer who recognized the failings of a well-meaning socialist world, and used leverage he and his associates themselves created to illustrate and stop the madness.

The concept of John Galt is a lot like my concept of America. To me, America is not so much a place or its people, as it is a concept, the concept that freedom and liberty make ordinary people and their homes exceptional. It’s what has made America the greatest place in human history. Economic and social freedoms allow people to reach their full potential. Another way of putting it is that people have intrinsic power and value, and with basic freedoms, they can achieve greatness. John Galt is such a person in that he has the intelligence and intellect to be the greatest inventor and producer of all times. But John Galt also recognizes that such success and greatness can and will be used to demonize such a person.
If you think millionaires and billionaires are demonized, how would the first trillionaire be treated?
John Galt is in essence the World’s first Trillionaire!

John Galt is in all of us. It is the part that is fed up with the government trying to run (ruin) our lives. The part that is fed up with them thinking that all the money is their's and they are doing us a favor by allowing us to keep some of what we earn.

    Who is John Galt?
He's the Cardinal of Capitalism, the Friar of Free Enterprise, the High Priest of High Achievement, and the Pope of Personal Liberty. Long may he live in all of us!
