Islam vs. Christianity
Is there really a big difference?
“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword” (Matthew 10:34). Or they could re-tell the parable of conflict resolution, which Jesus ends this way: “But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me” (Luke 19:27).
One of the big accomplishments of the United States was separation of Church and State or "ethical philosophy and political philosophy", unfortunately many christians and many environmentalists want to break that wall down.

If you really look at the UN's Radical, carefully camouflaged and hidden Agenda 21 Project, which, by the way, is humming along nicely, rewriting history books, changing the news & etc. You'll realized there's no real difference, just the flavor of the 'Fearless Leader,' the purpose remains the same, control of the people and all the resources by a select group of authorities.
There is only one difference, one is, for its own purposes, religiously fanatical; the other is, for its own purposes, fanatically secular.
I like only two things about Bill Mayer- #1 is his movie RELIGILIOUS (spelling may not be right) where he points out some of the strange and inconsistent and frankly stupid beliefs in modern religions, and #2- his dislike of Hillary Clinton.
Enough said.
Not only is this true, but if Christianity had not existed many, if not all of ideals that lead to the creation of the US would not have existed.
The basic premises from which the US sprang, Gods Law/Natural law is all about the laws which god put in place that are irrevocable. The very idea is Christian, and everything that sprang from it came from christian views.
The books "The books 7 miracles that saved the world" and "7 tipping points that saved the world" have several examples of Christianity preserving freedom in them. I had never thought of Christianity in this light till reading them.
Lets try to avoid dreams of grandeur to build revisionist history.
You may actually like (although not agree with) those two books. I found them very interesting and they present facts and arguments around those facts.
As a for instance, The Norsemen, who became the rulers in Normandy and the Normans of Engalnd set up their government based on the government structure given to the Hebrews in Laviticus, even some of the names of offices are derived form these. These books touch on this one lightly, but Cleon Skousan give a talk at BYU way back when, I have a recording, and detailed it all out very nicely. Within that was the idea of self rule....
Anyway they are both books worth a read.
Islam has changed as well, the wrong way, what we call Islamism is as bad or worse than anything since the time of the founder.
I often wonder if the Church sought to rope paganism in that way, use the pagan culture because that is what people were familiar with at the time or if there is a level of occult within the Church.
in our time, as bitterly as Einstein and Bohr disagreed, no one threw handgrenades into the biergartens of graduate students to settle the argument. People of reason have a better way to find truth.
Let me ask you: Did pizza and spaghetti become American foods because of the influence of Italian culture in our society?
