It is not charity when it is taken from me by law and then given to people I don't know in locations U've never been. charity is helping people yuou know or giving to organizations that help in the local community. Occasionally it is giving to the big organization to help in a national or regional disaster (Katrina, Sandy and the like). It is not taking my money by taxing me and giving it to somebody in Hawaii or Guam (sorry Hawaii and Guam, you were the farthest I could think of).
I give a fair amount to charity, but it is of charities of my choice, not the governments be it local, state or Federal.

The concept of charity and helping others is being twisted and altered to everyone's detriment.
