I for one am sick to death of the deluge of e-mails from candidates across the political spectrum urging me to contribute money NOW because of the "looming quarterly deadline", or some such. I'd like to see if there's any support for eliminating campaign finance of this sort entirely. I'd love to tell all of these clowns, "Look Bucko, YOU'RE the one who wants that job, not me. You want it? You pay for it. Don't have enough money? Too bad...I don't have enough either, and I'm getting no closer to my own goals by giving it to you!" I send enough to local, state and federal taxing authorities to support those pogues as it is!
