LA is a joke anyway. The best car is one that can do the job just like any piece of equipment. The best one's are marked cars IF they are in a jurisdiction known for doing the job. Ability and will same as with a military unit. The advantage to having a marked car is advertising and people automatically check their speed and generally pay more attention to things like driving their vehicles instead of eating cereal, putting on make up or talking on cell phones. Nothing more than presence is needed BUT not in all neighborhoods. The cars are also used for transportation I can't imagine handcuffed or not one of those tinker toys acting as any form of containment. LA deserves what it asked for. 9mm popguns and 12 volt roller skates. The best thing for the 99 percent of the police that do the job correctly is let the voting public take care of themselves - it's what they asked for. Why risk your life for people who care nothing for their own?

For sure it solves the problems of pursuit related deaths. When that is needed called the California Highway Patrol or move to a location that is serious about protecting citizens.
