ASJG shoot, day 2

This was our second day on the shoot for Atlas 3, and it was a day of much more observing - done of the group of people who were there worked as extras.

I had noticed that one could see what the camera was picking up by looking just over John's shoulder at the monitors in front of him. Today, they set those monitors up for us, and eventually some speakers [we started watching with 1 set of headphones] so we could hear and see very well.

We came in at 10AM in the middle of James & Dagny; I think it is one in which James learns that Cheryl is dead. Gregg German did a great job of a man just realizing all he's lost. We got to tour the command center and Dagny's office. I REALLY hope that the photo taken of the Wizard and I - me sitting in Dagny's chair, looking at the computer screen; him pointing something out over my shoulder - makes it into the photos posted because it was just amazingly cool to do.

We got to see a stunning performance with Laura Regan and Tony Denison [Cuffy Meigs], talking about the Railroad Unification Bill. I wasn't even that close to him, and I wanted to go wash my hands afterwards.
They gave us a great lunch, and some t-shirt-type gifts and dismissed us for the day.

Almost everyone visiting, besides us, were the Kickstarter people who had contributed at that level and earned that perq., and lunch was this wonderful free-floating conversation about what we'd seen and philosophy in general. It is great, as it is here, to be with a group of people who all have a general common philosophical meeting ground, so one can take it for granted and take the conversation to new places.
There were also some of the Students for Liberty interns who interviewed everyone.

I would do it again in a heartbeat. Having done years of live theatre let us know sort of what was happening, and we started picking out parallels to what we knew. I knew this opportunity would never come to me again, so I had to grab it.

We took a bunch of photos, a lot of them architectural, some of which I'll post when we get home tomorrow.

I'm more than happy to answer any questions anyone has, to the best of my ability - except the one about why they changed the cast again.

I do wish you all had been there, and I can't until we get together at the premier.

For Liberty,
ww
