Everything about Objectivism is a hard choice.
You have to judge every action and choose on your own responsiblity. You decide and you own the consequences of your actions.
Responsibility is terrifying for so many people. Is it any wonder that Objectivism is so slow to expand?
It is a treat to hang out with people willing to commit to themselves first, and own their own destiny.
I understand that many do, but I just can't fit myself into that 'mind set'.
Objectivists are healthy enough psychologically to just move forward with their lives, without the need (word chosen very carefully) for absolution of past mistakes.
The bottom line is that those who reject Objectivism have "issues" that are the result of their prior and/or current failures to live up to Objectivism's moral code. As Jack Nicholson once said, "They can't handle the truth!"
