An intellectually consistent homosexual…..who would a thunk it.

Maybe individuals identified as being part of specific “activist groups” don’t always march in lockstep with the supposed leadership of those groups. Gee maybe they are like the rest of us....not part of a monolithic orthodoxy but independent thinkers.

Of course. You would hope that collectivist thinking would be a rarity at least here in the Gulch. Just because I am up toward a 5 on the Kinsey scale (predominantly lesbian) doesn't mean I am going to vote for whomever seems gay friendly or that I walk in lockstep with other gay people on anything EXCEPT demanding equal rights which I would expect and demand in any case.

    The writer expresses himself well.

I'm not sure that I agree with his position entirely, but I believe that it's intellectually honest and therefor commands respect and an equally honest consideration. This is generally accepted as "civility".

"civility" is something we seldom see from the "activist" homosexual commuity

What activist? I demand equal rights, no more no less. I don't apologize for that. Nor will I bow the head and keep quite when people try to malign those of us that are not in the closet and simply want the same rights to live our lives and have our relationships honored as other people enjoy.

I am old enough to remember when being gay meant being subject to arrest, long term imprisonment, mandatory "treatments", being beat up and rape. We have come a long way from those dark days. Those that stood up, those activists, get much praise for ending it.

The claims that we want more than equality are largely bogus nonsense.
