The Highway Trust Fund is Broke! Politicians are the least responsible among us and yet we grant them a monopoly on our money? Something tells me this doesn't end well!

- 2Posted by ObjectiveAnalyst 9 years, 4 months agoThat something is history. :) Politicians are always robbing Peter to pay Paul, being irresponsible with other peoples money... Government policies always work against each other and common sense. CAFE standards are pushed to decrease fuel usage so taxes per mile driven decrease also. When fuel economy goes up or prices go down people drive more miles and use the road more. More usage, more damage. Michigan legislators are actually discussing a plan to build superior roads that last longer and cost less to maintain... Failure to get voters to cough up more has forced them to consider such measures... I will not hold my breath.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
- 1Posted by justin_mohr_show 9 years, 4 months agoHaha absolutely! I agree with you and the government doesn't have a profit motive! So it's taking the government this long for them to even consider building superior roads that last longer and are cheaper to build? Only with government do we hear idiocy like that!Mark as read | Parent | Best of... | Permalink|
