It appears that they don't even try to hide their activities anymore. I listened to a news discussion today about our present Constitutional dilemma, or even a break point.- that Obama would probably ignore a court ruling that an action of his was unconstitutional. Even if we could get it before a court before it's too late.

It should be obvious to all that the Dems currently believe that they don't have to even pretend that they believe in the Constitution anymore. I think many believe that one of the major reasons the Repubs aren't pushing back any harder than they are is that they fear exactly the same thing.

A total collapse of even a pretense that we any longer live in a Constitutional Republic.

    Scary times we live in.

What follows is a copy of most of an email I received from Liberty Council on this subject.

"In further evidence that the IRS has become a political operative of the left, Democrats up for reelection in 2014 are calling on the powerful agency to shut down 501(c)(4) organizations, like our sister organization Liberty Counsel Action!

According to a report by The Hill, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) is now calling on the IRS to curb political activities by 501(c)(4) organizations. Schumer recently said…

“The Tea Party elites gained extraordinary strength [in 2010]. There are many things that can be done administratively by the IRS and other government agencies – we must redouble those efforts immediately.”

Senators Mark Begich (D-AK) and Jeanne Shaheen (D-NH) are among those up for reelection who stand in agreement with Schumer in calling on the IRS to stop another groundswell of conservative grassroots activism before this year’s elections.

Not wanting a repeat of the 2010 “shellacking” (Barack Obama’s word to describe that election’s outcome) the Democrats took, the vulnerable Democrats are calling for the IRS to enact and enforce draconian guidelines that prohibit 501(c)(4) organizations from using words like “oppose,” “vote,” “support,” “defeat,” and “reject” in any speech or message.

The proposed new regulations would also prohibit voter registration drives or conducting a non-partisan “get-out-the-vote drive.”

++This is round two of illegal IRS targeting.

The IRS admittedly targeted organizations deemed as Barack Obama’s political adversaries to help him win reelection in 2012.

Under the Obama administration, the IRS has been politicized to an alarming degree. It has practically become an arm of the Obama Democratic Party campaign team!

If Barack Obama and other liberal “progressives” have their way with the IRS, Liberty Counsel Action and dozens of other key conservative and pro-family groups will be silenced on the key policy debates of our day. And, of course, Democrats will then be in position to steal the 2014 mid-term elections.

The actions of the IRS are egregious violations of the social contract between the people of the United States and their elected leaders!

Joe, I need your help to build a “war chest” necessary to fight an imminent legal battle against the IRS, the Obama administration, and the Justice Department.

I am dedicating the full resources of Liberty Counsel's legal team to defend Liberty Counsel Action and a host of other pro-family and conservative 501(c)(4) groups against this scandalous attack.

Please, consider making a generous donation today to help us stop the assaults on conservative organizations by Barack Obama’s political agents at the IRS.

The Dems don't look at a change in the rules as harassment of anybody. It would be the IRS enforcing the rules. Unfortunately for the Dems the American public is finally starting to understand the games being played (See previous post indicating 64% don't trust the IRS).
A simple (??) change in the rules isn't going to fool anybody. the only difference it will make is the IRS agents won't be charge with anything (not that there was much chance of that happening0>
