Gulch Live: 2016 Presidential Debates
Join Atlas Shrugged Producer Harmon Kaslow and Associate Producer Scott DeSapio (me) for a live comment streaming event in the Gulch during the 1st GOP Primary debates tonight. Get your popcorn and settle in. This is gonna be good.
Inspired by jbrenner's comment yesterday ( http://www.galtsgulchonline.com/posts... ) we've put together a live streaming comment feature that will enable all Gulch members to engage in a real-time conversation while watching the debate. It's kind of like chat... but... not.
HOW IT WORKS:
1. At 5PM ET, go to the Gulch Activity feed: http://www.galtsgulchonline.com/activ...
2. At the top, you'll see a "Gulch Live" box.
3. Type your comment, submit, and poof, your comment will be automatically injected into the stream - along with everyone else's comments as well.
NOTE
- Post your comments in the Activity Feed for the best experience. If you post your comments here, you'll not see the live stream responses and things might get a little confusing.
- When addressing someone on the feed, consider using @membername to address them directly or no one will no who you're talking to.
- All comments submitted to the feed will automatically be added to this post.
Thanks Jim for the suggestion. Let's do this.

EDIT: Thanks to everyone who participated last night. Harmon and I had a great time and we're very much looking forward to the next Gulch Live event!

Thank you and good night.
Regards,

Jeb Bush - could have done better, I think he slips after tonight. I think he seemed squishy.
Kasich - very impressive, and I like his approach to fixing long-term drains on the economy (long term incarceration, revolving door of drug addicts in prisons)... While it sucks to spend taxpayer resources on that stuff, we need to fix our broken criminal justice and prison system. Spending some now, to not have to imprison millions in the future is common sense to me. Whoever the nominee is would be stupid to not look seriously at Kasich as a running mate. Bringing Ohio really changes the battlefield... Bush/Kasich would be an easy win for Florida & Ohio and pretty much locks out a Hillary victory as long as Trump doesn't go rogue.
Ben Carson - I really want to like him, and he's extremely intelligent.. his ability to articulate and deliver is really questionable though. His answers were awesome though, I think he goes up. No one is attacking him either, which is a plus.
Marco Rubio - Robo candidate. I thought he might be ok for VP before, but he's not even ready for that. He'd be another Dan Quayle.
Scott Walker - I genuinely like him, but he looks like a high school kid running for class president. I just can't take him seriously.
Chris Christie - too much baggage at this point.
Rand Paul - I'm just not a fan. The ideals are attractive, but he just seems a little bit on the loopy/crazy side like his dad. It's a personality issue for me, not necessarily his politics. I also don't like how every time someone turns a camera on, he's like a moth to the flame.
Ted Cruz - Likable, but not sure he's electable in the general. I'm not really sure he fits at all this time around.
This post was referencing Dennis Kucinich's, that's right, Dennis Kucinich's, interview after the first (JV) debate.
I have no idea why Fox was interviewing Kucinich, but they were.
Maybe there are more comments on Kucinich because he's a character, while Kasich is same-old-same-old.
Have you ever seen her?
Here's a pic of her.
