Living poor and uninsured in a red state, OR, same song, verse 296
I was so crazy after I read this article that I wasn’t even sure what to holler about. So……
door #1: You can’t have everything, now, OR, it’s about choice.
A woman chooses to spend her money on yearly visits to her deported husband. Her children [7 of them] haven’t seen a dentist in a while.
Her daughter chooses to spend some of her McDonalds paychecks so that she can wear contacts rather than glasses.
Poor them, they are the only people in all of society who have to make choices. Wait – they are of a group in society which believes that they don’t have to make choices. Surprise!
DOOR #2: The whole “affordable Care” thing is a scam, example # 472:
There is a gap between Medicaid and the subsidized Act. States may choose to expand the amount they spend on Medicaid, but they are not required to. That means some people are not poor enough to qualify for the subsidy. Welcome to the world of what we and some friends [highly educated, working professionals] call “the life of the working rich”.
DOOR #3: No matter how bad it gets, there’s still room for it to get worse.
A medical student says, “These people deserve the fruits of the accumulated thousands of years of effort that have gone into making modern medicine.”. Obviously she doesn’t read much medical history, as she has no idea how research and development works.
vomit over there, please
and finally, DOOR #4, which everyone gets to open.
“I once had a girlfriend who was from Costa Rica, and she said that there, they take your medical right out of your paycheck, so when it comes time to go to the doctor, it doesn’t cost anything,” he said. “I thought that was kind of neat.”
ARRRGH.
It’s not that they’re not going to get what they deserve soon enough, it’s that I’m going to get what they deserve, too.

lol... it's like withholding tax. This time of year, every peasant rubs his hands together over how he will spend his tax refund (most peasants; I once again will have to pay taxes), oblivious to the fact that it was taken from his paycheck to begin with. Oblivious to the fact that he could have set aside that amount from each check each month himself. The amount withheld represents authority and responsibility removed from the individual.
