Sagging our pants and Stretching our laws

I found out about this one on the radio this morning while driving to work. I know that this subject may bring up a bit of controversy because most of us do not want to see what your undergarments or your derriere look like when walking down the street or strolling in the mall. However, where do we draw the line?
At what point does the government have the RIGHT to tell us how to dress? I say this one definitely crosses the line!
As Evelyn Hall once said "I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it" the same stands true for me in this situation. The individuals who do this "sagging" are entitled to dress as sloppy as they please, as long as they are "dressed". (I wont stand for the extended version of the plumber's crack, you are exposed dear sir and madam if your cheeks are flapping in the wind in public)
I am just afraid because so many of my "friends" have said "about time they did something about that, it looks terrible", Sorry but I for one am not ready for the fashion police! Are you?

While the operative word is 'underwear', I agree with you. They tell us what to eat, what to drive, what to wear. Get a life, get out of ours and just do what government is supposed to do.

I like what Washington had to say about government:
"Government is like a fire. Useful in the fireplace, but when it gets out of it's place it will consume everything you own". George Washington

I saw a commercial for pants from Duluth Trading Co. that are plumbers pants, designed with a higher back waistband. "No more plumber's butt"! Lol!

The govt can just keep their laws out of my pants, thank you very much!

Are our law makers so out of ideas that this is how they're spending their time (and OUR money)? Determining what size sodas we can purchase, how much salt we can have in our food and what clothes we should wear?? If this is the kind of crap ideas they're coming up with to make themselves feel useful then it proves they're useless and it's time for them to be removed.

Remember the guy on American Idol singing "pants on the ground, looking like a fool with your pants on the ground"? Its peer pressure, not government regulations that will make the change.
