Something I wrote for earth day

Celebrate the earth you say?
And what has earth done for you today?
At best nature will leave you be,
The worst is like a killing spree,
Nature gives no gifts of luxury,
And you won't receive the slightest mercy, The earth is cold without remorse,
And death by frost is not the worst,
There's also thirst, disease and beast,
And that's not all to say the least,
Celebrate the earth today?
No thanks, I'll celebrate the mind today.
