Presidential Poll Results (July 3, 2016)

Method: Three polls were posted to fivedollargold's FB page and various sites around the USA. Not enough data were collected in the Democrat or 3rd Party polls to be meaningful. The largest response was attained in the Republican poll (N-259), probably due to sampling bias. Participants were asked to vote for their top three choices in order to gauge the depth of each candidate's support and reduce within-sample bias. Results separated the GOP poll into four "tiers."
TIER 1:
56% Scott Walker
44% Ted Cruz
43.6% Dr. Rand Paul
TIER 2:
29.3% Dr. Ben Carson
25.9% Carly Fiorina
22.8% Marco Rubio
22.8% Donald Trump
19.3% Bobby Jindal
TIER 3:
10% Rick Perry
9.7% Jeb Bush
6.6% John Kasich
4.2% Chris Christie
3.5% Mike Huckabee
TIER 4:
0.8% Lindsey Graham
0.8% George Pataki
0.8% Rick Santorum
0.0% Mark Everson
Discussion: These results suggest a changing of the guard in the GOP towards younger, fresh faces, with a great deal of diversity. Except for Scott Walker, who leads this poll, governors did not fare well. Jeb Bush, who is presently doing well in other national polls, did not fare well here, either due to sampling bias or lack of depth in his support. Arguably the worst result is for Rick Santorum, who finished in the bottom tier despite finishing second to Romney in the last GOP presidential cycle.

"These results suggest a changing of the guard in the GOP "
Rearranging the deck chairs won't save the Titanic. Voting for the GOP is a one way ticket to the abyss.
