It seems like she has a pretty hard job. She was her husband's supervisor, and now she can't work in that industry. My wife's legal practice, and I can't imagine if I took some high-level electronics job, like CEO of Intel, that caused her to have to sell her practice and promote good causes like gardening and exercise, even though she believes in those things. For some reason Michelle reminds me of my wife. Part of her jobs is remind people of someone they know. I really admire what they've accomplished. If I should ever invent a perpetual motion machine or she should create a "movement" for baby boombers' legacy, I hope we'd be like the Obama's. That obviously won't happen, but I admire that he's at the top of his industry and she is willing to sacrifice for it.
Funniest thing is that they sent out invitations for her "personal" birthday party - the one that they have to pay for themselves - and told the invitees to eat before arriving, ostensibly because the O's are too cheap to pay for feeding their guests. That's a hoot. But when it's on the government's dime, well then they have Kobe beef.
