Libertarians and Progressives sort of agree on a few things

I found this article and thought it interesting. I read a thing a while ago about how politics shouldn't be looked at on a line graph, but more an X and Y graph. While I don't agree with all of these things I thought it was interesting where the article highlights areas that libertarians and progressives actually agree on a few things which, especially on the republican side, their "Side" doesn't necessarily agree on.

Yes. Bring back the Democratic Freedom Caucus. Better yet, there should be some moderate libertarian movement. It would call for modest changes in the direction of freedom. We wouldn't all agree with every point. It wouldn't promise to bring this country back to its roots in four years. But it would be something I think most people, maybe over two-thirds of the population, could agree on.

If that happened, the establishment would fight. They'd scream about guns, discrimination, the children, religion, old ladies dependent on Part D, hippies smoking pot. They'd need to get people fired up into a left/right debate.

No offense, but I found that article to be simply more leftist poppycock. Of course there isn't much on puffpost that isn't.
