Negative Savings Bank Interest Rates?
Are negative savings account interest rates on the horizon? As the banks struggle to make money on lending, could they start charging for deposits?

- 1Posted by richrobinson 10 years, 11 months agoI think this was a trial balloon floated by the FED. They were considering lowering interest rates to zero to stimulate the economy. Banks pay a fee on deposits for FDIC. That cost would have to be passed along. I am hoping that the FED does not go ahead with this.Mark as read | Best of... | Permalink|
