Q & A
Q: When were you first introduced to Ayn Rand?
A: [I] Read The Fountainhead [in approximately] 1955. [I] Read Atlas Shrugged in the spring of 1958 - months after it's initial publication. I was 14. My younger brother (age 11) had read Atlas Shrugged immediately after publication and presented it for both my mother and I to read and discuss.
Q: How has Ayn Rand influenced your life?
A: I saw much that eloquently stated our family's philosophy of life. There was an inherent internal consistency missing from other philosophies.
Q: What passion projects are you working on right now?
A: I am an elected school board director in Pennsylvania. The future will be decided by our children/grandchildren. The enemies of freedom spent decades distorting history and the education system. I will work (with many others) to turn this around for future generations.
I am a Life NRA member (50 years) and Pistol Instructor (active). I am passionate about the 2nd Amendment and it's importance in both personal protection and keeping government in check.
I enjoy ballroom dancing, fly fishing, kayaking, & long range rifle shooting. I am an avid Pittsburgh Penguins Hockey fan.

A LITTLE FUN
Q: What do you enjoy reading, watching, or listening to other than Ayn Rand?
A: History [and] impact of religion(s) on history and current events.
Q: If you could be the tycoon of any industry, which would you pick and why?
A: Health Care - Change the rules. Throw away the decades of pricing based on 3rd party and government intervention. Deal with patients directly as it was prior to mid 1950's when big businesses were given tax incentives by the Federal Government to offer health insurance as a "benefit".
