Ziggin and Zaggin Hate Speech

The Port Authority bus service in Pittsburgh has decals on their buses promoting mass transit. The decals have a slogan containing the words "ziggin" and "zaggin". The Port Authority recently announced the decals would be removed. Apparently they received a complaint saying that when read backwards the words resemble a racial slur. When read backwards it is complete jibberish. The PC police on the case again.

Obama spelled backwards is Amabo. This is very close to Amoeba which is a one-celled animal with no brains. Therefore, I suggest we refer to Barry as President Him.

They should change their slogan to "ssaymssik". Sorry, this PC crap is turning me into some kind of a fanatic.

Being of German decent, I was sometimes referred to as a Kraut. I learned quickly to just accept it, be proud of it, and turn it into an expression of honor.

Sometime in about 1990 my son came home from school in tears. With a name like Schwartz some of the kids were calling him Schwarzkopf. I told him to stand proud and just tell them we shortened our last name and General Schwarkopf is actually his grandfather. He followed my advice and came home a week later smiling ear to ear, he was now a hero at school.

The hate speech clincher for me was, I was one of three supervisors working for, let's say Bob, our manager. Some company execs came in from out of town to meet with us. Our boss, Bob, introduced us as "Karl, my Kraut", "Mike, my Polack", and "Neal, my token Jew". I was flabbergasted, it took my breath away, I almost slid under the table. When I caught my breath however I responded with, "Oh, I'm sorry Bob, you must be confused, I'm actually Lutheran." He had no idea what to say then and it embarrased him.

Ignoring those slurs, in my opinion, is the best way to make them go away. If not at least turn them around to make them favorable to you. Somehow the liberal party seems to be better at that than anyone else. She was raped, she shouldn't have dressed that way. Bush was wrong, even though I voted for it. Obama's going to triple our debt, it must be Bush's fault, Bush's debt increase was criminal, etc., etc., etc. And as far as ignoring things, our president is the king of ignoring things and unfortunatley for the US he's getting away with it. His ignorance is actually what's keeping him in office.

When I hear stuff like this, [and it's way more fun to do this face to face with the PC police.] I repeat, the following from Earl Nightingale: "You become what you think about most of the time".

Let's also get rid of palindromes, and certain parts of speech with obscure names like "gerund" and adverbs always pissed me off. While we're at it, let's pare the language down to instagram size. wtcha thk?

This was reported on the Rush Limbaugh show last week. Those signs had been on the buses for something like 13 years, and nobody had complained before. One person complained that it looks like a racial slur when read backwards in a rear-view mirror. niggaz? You really have to try hard to be offended over that, because it's a misspelling of the actual offensive word. It's just the left flexing their muscles, seeing how much crap they can get away with. Apparently a lot with the American sheeple.

This reminds me of an incident that took place some years ago. Some local politician made a speech wherein he used the word "niggardly." Although he used the word properly and in context, the press and various PC interest groups went wild with anger calling him a racist. He tried to explain himself by citing to the dictionary but it was to no avail. I think he had to resign.

It's not even etymologically related to the N-word. It's bogus that we over-react.

I don't use it though, it just sounds wrong. It's like pre-scrum. I don't like the sound of it.
