And how amazing is it that being a Conservative is selfish because we don't think government should provide people with everything from a house to a cell phone.

No matter what party they're for, politicians rarely actually care about the poor. They only care about their votes. No one seems to really realize that cutting or raising taxes equally makes the rich any more rich and the poor any more poor. Nor do they seem to realize that raising taxes only on the rich is unequal when we have the constitutional right to equality. It's not right to punish people who have worked hard by raising their taxes and giving it to people who often times are just taking advantage of the system. Also, it's against the founding principals of America to have an altruistic society because it takes away an individual's human rights. So, if anything, Ayn Rand isn't an extremist but, someone who's speaking about the country America has begun to stray from.

Why do these closed minded, freaky, hippie, libs always associate Libertarian beliefs and points of view with "extremism"? Are they not showing how closed minded they actually are? Maybe it's me...but small government, low taxes, and the freedom to choose your own way is the most basic of America's values.....let me know if I'm out of my mind
