Jade Helm and Operation Red Flag Point to the Coming Civil War
So someone sent me this asking about the Navy part (I was on Tridents for 12 years), which I would agree that they are the most loyal about country type of military out there. The submarine force has been a very independent group because they operate in independent circumstances, and always have to question any order that is not within their operational orders for the patrol. What really caught my eye was the reference to the "Red Flag" being about controlling the population using "microwave weapons". Didn't someone write a book aboiut that a long while back? Oh yea....
Once again, there is no proof. And the ones making the fantastic claims are the ones with the burden of proof.
BTW, there are only 10,000 or so troops in Afghanistan. Not the 135,000 cited in the article. And this is just one point where the author not only gets their facts wrong, but doesn't even make sense. On the one hand he talks about how the army is going to takeover. On the other, he said it is all being kept out of the country. Make up your minds people - what little mind there is that hasn't rotted under the tinfoil hat.
Even your claim about the Navy is completely baseless. BTW, remember posse comitatus? The law forbidding the use of troops for law enforcement? That is still on the books. Do you know who it doesn't apply to? The Navy. And by extension, the Marines. It only applies to the Army.
The text of the relevant legislation is as follows:
18 U.S.C. § 1385. Use of Army and Air Force as posse comitatus
Whoever, except in cases and under circumstances expressly authorized by the Constitution or Act of Congress, willfully uses any part of the Army or the Air Force as a posse comitatus or otherwise to execute the laws shall be fined under this title or imprisoned not more than two years, or both.
Also notable is the following provision within Title 10 of the United States Code (which concerns generally the organization and regulation of the armed forces and Department of Defense):
10 U.S.C. § 375. Restriction on direct participation by military personnel
The Secretary of Defense shall prescribe such regulations as may be necessary to ensure that any activity (including the provision of any equipment or facility or the assignment or detail of any personnel) under this chapter does not include or permit direct participation by a member of the Army, Navy, Air Force, or Marine Corps in a search, seizure, arrest, or other similar activity unless participation in such activity by such member is otherwise authorized by law.
So, not just Army. But not the point. I do not believe that this article is factual, or even credible. What I was driving at was Ayn Rand described such a weapon in AS, and I find it really interesting that someone now is selling the notion as if it is some secret weapon. Not so secret, since Ayn invented it a long time ago. But also, how does the country react if such an event occurs? You can quote posse comitatus all day, but in the last 40 years or so, Executive Orders have taken a life of their own. Such an event where an EO is signed saying martial law will only result in the showdown at OK Corral scenario that I am not sure anyone has decided which way to jump. Many illegal orders have been given and obeyed in the past, can you guarantee all military members will know the difference?
