This is absolutely an illegal intrusion. Further, it is a fostering of the guilty until proven innocent mode of justice. Actually, it's almost like a tale by Franz Kafka.
Go get 'em with the lawsuit. These offenses are in clear violation of the Constitution, there is little doubt the agent was taking this initiative on her own, and the police failed in their duty.
It's regrettable that these people couldn't sue the individuals involved. I personally would have been more satisfied with 1/10 the money, if only it came out of the hides of the dirtbags that actually did the harassment. The people of NJ shouldn't have to pay for the settlement through their taxes. As workers for the public school district, I doubt if the culprits themselves were even elected officials (I doubt it!).
Maybe the litigation version of the 2nd amendment should be personal accountability for public officials, similar to that of CEOs. That ought to take some of their bully-attitude away.
When I lived in California I dated a social worker for a very short time who got off on removing children from their homes whether there was cause or not. Her attitude was guilty until you proved your innocence then we might give you your kids back. She was also one of the worst mothers to her own kids that I had ever seen. I knew we in for a quick end when I told her it was her kids who needed taken away and pointed out why I believed it.
I signed up to receive WND while in the middle of that outrageous story. I like to keep abreast with the bullying of our Big Brother elite more than equal PC betters. Knowledge is power. (A concept low information voters will never think of--never mind consider).
It seems an improper schooling accusation (the "confidential tip" from a child) puts the onus on the accused to prove themselves innocent. It sounds more like how they would approach child abuse accusations!
I would like to know if there is any organization asking for funds to help these parents in their fight. I would be glad to contribute a little some- thing (provided, of course, the fund were authentic, and that the money would go where it was supposed to).
Now NJ can pay for the boy's college education!
