p.s. why is the Bill of Rights not IN the Constitution,
but instead amended to it? . did they forget,
and have to come along afterwards to fix it?

    GOP come through.... just as I predicted and the opposite of what they promised to get elected.
    The GOP is as bad as the Dems.
    Statists ALL.

    America is supposed to be a Republic, not a monarchy, or an oligarchy.

        No surprise. GOP doing what they have done since they got control under Clinton. (Prior to that, the GOP could blame it on the Dems, but they were complicit even before that.) Conservatives must learn that the GOP is not conservative, (hasn't been at least since '64) and the only rational choice is to leave the statists and regain sovereignty by supporting a 3rd party. Libertarians, in spite of some faults, are the only party with a consistent platform of individual liberty and free markets.
        The income tax and fed res must go, and numerous fedgov programs and depts with them. Only a free market and renewal of individual responsibility (and self interest) can save the republic peacefully.
