Not All Lives Matter

This is an excerpt. The rest of the article can be accessed via the link above.

Trading on one’s connections, image management, apple polishing, power politics, and other tawdry means of advancement are not positive accomplishments, like say, growing a garden or a business. They are negative, corrupting and destroying in ways that may be even more insidious than a descent into alcoholism, indolence, or depravity. No proclamation of one’s commitment to the downtrodden, manifested by one’s commitment to coerced redistribution, can reverse or ameliorate this fundamental corruption. The penance itself is corrupt.

    Hello straighlinelogic,
    Another well written, insightful article.
Side note: I recommended The Golden Pinnacle to my Mother down in Florida. She picked up a copy, finally got around to reading it and sent me an E-mail. She said it was one of the best books she ever read. :)
    Regards,
    O.A.

      OA,
Thanks for the comment on the article, and I'm glad your mother liked TGP. I watch the progression of my book and I kind of feel like the guy who was trying to peddle green eggs and ham. The Industrial Revolution isn't a red hot period for the historical novel set, and who wants to hear about a banker, but when people read the book, they find they like my green eggs and ham. So far, Galt's Gulch, my website, and a subterranean word of mouth have been the only effective advertising for the book. Thanks for recommending it to your mother and please, keep up the good work!
