I live close enough to Baltimore to have occasion to go there from time to time. One of my sons lives and has an office in the near suburbs. It is a dirty and dangerous city. The Inner Harbor development displaced a mountain of garbage and gave the city some gloss but it is like lipstick on a pig. The benefactors, financial backers and sponsoring politicians for the Inner Harbor Renewal are all gone and their heirs are just pillaging the remains like their parasitic predecessors savaged the city before them.

There is hardly a better example of what happens when a political party is dominant, corrupt and can operate under the cover of the common good. It is only incidental that all the faces that you see are black, mayor, police chief, councilmen and rioters. Their skin color has nothing to do with their current state. These are just the citizens of a government dependent society reaching its natural state. It is a mistake to associate race with this as it disguises the root of the problem and prevents us from seeing our fate if we continue on our present path.
