Hello. I suppose I should do more than just state the obvious, which is that my name is Will, and that my "screen name" lacks imagination. Very well.

I decided at a young age that I wanted to dedicate my life to the service of the ideals layed out in the US constitution, and joined the army. I was out in less than two years due to an injury and joined the "Gen X" corporate take over of the mid 90's. I did fairly well for not having any formal education beyond High school. Like a lot of us I became disturbed by the idea that the more I produced the more I paid to Uncle Sam. It was about this time that I discovered AS. It was a life changing discovery. Reading that book really was like having Galt walk into my office, pull up a chair, and offer me a cigarette with a $ on it. I had also recently discovered that my wife at the time wanted to explore an "alternative" lifestyle. The decision to quit took no time at all. I find myself living now in an obscure county in West Tennessee, married to a woman worth marrying, with a young daughter and a mimimal job in a local factory doing just what Uncle Sam seems to have wanted me to do. It was 8 years ago that I quit, and I have yet to regret it for one day. I make just enough to support my household and keep my wife home to homeschool our daughter.
