I am in Columbia, Missouri on a business trip for this week: Is there anyone from the Gulch here perchance?

Hey Jan, Kaila's right. If you go to the Members Directory, put in the city, click on the "Start a group discussion" button, create a message and post it, everyone in the search results will get an email. I just did a search and there at least 39 members in the area.

if you do the gulch meetup thing-I think members get an email to your post, jan. that's not far from my ol stompin grounds. float trip!

    db and I are kayakers and canoers. some white water south of you and just plain gorgeous river scenery. fly-fishing, etc. I think Zen spent a fair amount of time near Rolla-not that far away. anyway, Missouri was home for a time

      It is beautiful here. I lived in Springfield for about a year.
      
      But there is also snow and cold and humidity in the summer.

The week is coming to a close, and I have not had extra time to get in touch with folks here. There are a couple within 30 miles...but not people I 'know' from the Gulch. Uncommonsense is a bit far away and since I leave tomorrow I will not have time to get in touch with him. (It seems a bit rude to say, "Hi. I'm in your area but don't have time to see you.")

I will have to plan my next trip better. It really did not occur to me til I was here to try to arrange meet-ups.
